Fire and Ice.
Kathy Gil and her best, or now ex, friend John were different. They had powers. Kathy had the power to make ice balls out of nothing and freaze water. John could make fire balls. They soent a lot of time together in collenge. Kathy wanted to stay quiet abiut her powers but John was a but more daring. Ever so often he'd set a small fire outside to prank his dirm mates. Kathy really hated that. She would only use her powers to make ice cubes or if it was really hot.
One day John went too far. He used his powers to start a fire near the main office, so he could steel and sell the cheat sheets for the classes. Upset with Dex, she confronted him. John laughed it off and shit a tuny flare at him. She was surprised he'd do that. She said she'd tell the head, for his own good. Withoutt thinking, John threw a fireball at her, which she froze. "Stop this!" She shouted as he kept throwing them.
Kathy got more mad as he laughed. She froze hus hands. Stopping the fire. The ice begun to melt, because of the fire. "Please stop. We are friends.".
Just then, a woman walked in. It was Mel, she taught them how to control their powers. She was cross.
"John!".
"It was a joke. I'd never really sell them."
"You hurt me." Kathy said.
"Im sorry. I went too far."
"Big time. You know you got to be careful. No more". Mel said.
"Ok. Sorry. Friends?"
Kathy smiled.
"Yeah.".
Henry flew threw the window wearing a mask.
"Mel we got to go."
Mel put in a pink mask.
"Duty calls."
She fell out the window.
